News of a series of robberies across the Central Bohemian Region since September has flooded the media. The speed of the break-ins, combined with their timing and the brazenness of the thieves, is a common pattern: on New Year’s Eve alone, three incidents occurred in one evening.
According to witness statements, organized groups of experienced thieves follow the same approach every time. The robberies typically take place between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., with the primary goal of stealing cash and jewelry, allowing the thieves to move freely afterward. “They came right through the front, didn’t even approach from the field, and spent forty minutes on the property before breaking into the house. After that, it was a five-minute ordeal. All the neighbors were home, and none of us noticed anything…” a witness shared with Novinky.cz.
