Immediate tracking through system integration (Track and Trace). Logistics companies frequently deal with customer complaints regarding lost or damaged packages. These claims are time-consuming, often requiring inventory checks, manual searches for packages, completing insurance documentation, and ultimately issuing apologies to the customer. This not only damages the company’s reputation but also increases insurance premiums and labor costs.
We recommend process visualization and utilizing immediate tracking through “Track & Trace.” This method combines two independent systems: warehouse logistics with barcode scanning and the Geutebrück camera system. Visual verification can often quickly clarify situations involving lost or damaged packages. The efficiency comes from the fact that every time a barcode is scanned, the information is also stored in the camera system’s recording device. Since packages are scanned multiple times during the delivery process (loading, transport to depots, sorting, transferring, and delivery to the customer), the package can be easily located by entering the package number into the Geutebrück camera system, based on the G-Core platform. The system searches and organizes all video records from every depot related to the package within one client application, making it simple to resolve the issue.
Since cameras can monitor any objects, the system can also track entire pallets of goods or perform quality control in assembly lines. Thus, our “Process Visualization” system is also ideal for manufacturing, automotive, or counting money and working with documents and archives. Notably, there’s no need to replace the existing logistics system, as the integration of both systems is done using simple communication protocols available today.
